Service overview

Act Cloud is ACT Tecnologia's infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS): dedicated virtual machines, hosted on a private cloud with 100% national infrastructure, inside a Tier 3 Data Center, with CPU, memory, and storage sized to fit your operation. The infrastructure layer (hypervisor, network, storage, and standard backup) is fully operated by ACT; the operating system, applications, and databases installed by the client remain the client's responsibility, with management and licensing services available on request.

Dedicated, configurable VM

vCPU, memory, and storage sized to the application profile, with contractual expansion at any time, without needing to migrate environments.

High-performance infrastructure

Intel Xeon processors and high-performance (High IOPS) disks, in an environment with power, cooling, and connectivity redundancy.

Backup and continuity

Automatic daily snapshot with 15-day retention, failover in case of hardware failure, and a contractual availability SLA.

02

VM configuration and capacity

Each Act Cloud VM is sized to fit the application, with no fixed off-the-shelf plans. The resources below can be adjusted at any time, through a contract adjustment.

Resource Specification
Processor Intel Xeon, in a hyperconverged environment
vCPU Sized to the application profile
RAM Sized to the application profile
Storage High-performance disk (High IOPS), volume as contracted
Operating system Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, and other distributions) or Windows Server
Network traffic Unlimited

Reference configurations (vCPU, RAM, storage) are listed in each project's commercial proposal. Capacity adjustments don't require a VM swap or reinstallation.

03

Access and connectivity

The VM can be accessed via a dedicated public IP or via NAT, depending on the use case. The choice affects how the application is exposed to the internet.

Access model How it works Recommended for
Dedicated public IP The VM receives its own public IP address, with exposure controlled by firewall rules Sites, APIs, and services that need to be accessed directly over the internet
Access via NAT The VM operates behind ACT's NAT, without a direct public IP Internal environments, processing, and systems accessed via VPN or tunnel

National network structure: internet link of up to 1 Gbps per environment, with low latency, DDoS protection, and connectivity to multiple internet exchange points (IX.br) and Brazil's main networks, for a stable experience anywhere in the country.

04

Backup and data protection

Every Act Cloud VM ships with automatic backup included, with no extra configuration from the client.

Item Specification
Backup Automatic daily snapshot
Retention 15 days by default, extendable as the client needs
Continuity Automatic failover in case of hardware failure, on redundant infrastructure

The snapshot protects the VM as a whole (operating system, configuration, and data). Routines specific to an application or database are handled as an additional service.

05

Environment security

Firewall managed by ACT

Security rules applied and administered by ACT, with no direct client access to the configuration. A dedicated firewall for the client's VPC can be set up as a specific project.

Redundant environment

Tier 3 Data Center with power, cooling, and connectivity redundancy, reducing single points of failure.

Need more?

A dedicated firewall for the client's VPC, VPN, and an additional public IP are evaluated as add-ons to the environment, depending on the project scope.

06

Additional services on request

Act Cloud delivers the infrastructure: VM, hypervisor, network, and standard backup. From there, practically any need can be added to the plan as the operation requires it, from licensing to full environment management.

Licensing

Windows Server, SQL Server, GO-Global, and other licenses, provided along with the VM upon contracting.

VM management

Administration of the operating system, applications, and environment (as in ACT's Server Management), for those who don't want to operate it themselves.

Custom backup and retention

Extended retention beyond the standard 15 days, or routines specific to an application or database.

Advanced network and security

Additional public IP, dedicated firewall for the client's VPC, VPN, and advanced monitoring, depending on the project scope.

Practically any additional need can be evaluated and added to the plan. Talk to ACT to size exactly what your operation needs.
