Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use on the ACT Tecnologia website, and how you can manage your preferences.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They help the website remember your actions and preferences, and allow us to understand how the website is used.

2. Which cookies we use

We organize the cookies and similar technologies on this website into the categories below:

Necessary cookies

Essential for the basic operation of the website (navigation, security, remembering preferences such as your choice in this cookie policy). They cannot be disabled, as the website would not function properly without them. Cloudflare, which protects this website, sets the cf_clearance cookie after an automatic check that analyzes technical browser signals to tell visitors apart from bots; it is necessary for the security of the website.

Performance measurement without cookies

Cloudflare, which protects and delivers this website, measures page performance and visit volume in aggregate form, without cookies and without identifying visitors.

Analytics cookies (optional)

We use Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the website: which pages are most visited, where visitors come from, and how long they stay on the site. This data is processed in aggregate form and helps us improve content and browsing experience. You can decline these cookies without any impact on using the website.

Marketing cookies (optional)

We use Google Tag Manager to load advertising tools, such as Google Ads and the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram), and, on campaign pages, the ChatGPT Ads measurement pixel (OpenAI). These tools help us measure the results of our campaigns, for example how many visitors coming from an ad clicked the WhatsApp button, and show more relevant ads based on your browsing on the website.

The OpenAI pixel sets the __oppref (30 days), __obref (365 days) and __oaiq_consent (30 days) cookies and stores your consent preference in the browser’s local storage. These cookies and tools are only loaded after you accept this category in the cookie banner. You can decline them without any impact on using the website.

Reference code in WhatsApp messages

On campaign pages, the ready-made message of the WhatsApp button ends with a short reference code (for example, “ref. GPT-7K2Q”) that shows which channel and page you came from. The code is generated at random and kept during your visit in the browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. If you send the message, it reaches us with the conversation and shows us which ad led to the contact. If you accepted marketing cookies, the same code also goes along with the click record sent to the ad measurement tools, even if the message is not sent. You can delete it before sending.

3. How to manage your preferences

The first time you visit the website, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics and marketing cookies. You can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link in the website footer. You can also clear your browser’s cookies and reload the website, which will make the banner appear again. When you withdraw consent, the tools are no longer loaded and the identification cookies they set on this website are deleted.

You can also manage or block cookies directly in your browser settings. Note that blocking all cookies may affect the functioning of some parts of the website.

4. Third-party cookies

When you click the WhatsApp button on the website, you are redirected to WhatsApp (Meta), which has its own cookie and privacy policy, outside of our control.

5. More information
